Spring Around Town
In fact, it's festival time again (yes!), and now is the perfect time to mark your calendars and save important dates to head outside with your family and friends to play. With so much going on around you, we thought we'd compile a list of our Must-Get-To festivals and events around town.
Spring is all about starting fresh, trying new things and renewing your active life! Say yes to Spring and head out to these sure-to-be awesome, local events.
The Bodacious Boardwalk Bazaar and Spring Festival (Hampton, VA). Located in Fort Monroe in Hampton, this three day shopping event features incredible crafters, artists, food vendors and local, small businesses. Enjoy a fabulous, historic venue while you shop and mingle!.
Pungo Strawberry Festival (Va Beach, VA). This two day event, which takes place in rural Pungo, VA over Memorial Day Weekend is an absolute blast. Think carnival rides meeting live music and entertainment and incredible, delicious food (and strawberry shortcakes!) from local vendors. Get ready for Strawberry-picking season with this family-friendly event.
Virginia International Tattoo (Norfolk, VA). This patriotic event is both inspiring and moving. The 2015 event will feature the countries of NATO, and will certainly create a memorable experience for both adults and children. Featuring international, live performances in both music and dance, the Virginia Tattoo is not to be missed!
Virginia Beer Festival (Norfolk, VA). What could be better than Beer and Sunshine? Named one of the Best Beer Festivals by USA Today, you will enjoy sampling over 125 beers.
Newport News Greek Festival (Newport News, VA). Folks like up every year for the delicious food at this local favorite. You will find crafts and jewelry vendors, some very unique offerings, but mostly, it’s about the food. Yum!
Pirate Party on the Beach (Virginia Beach, VA) While life aboard a pirate ship probably wasn’t much fun, life at the beach is! This family friendly event includes a costume contest, treasure hunt and plenty of ARRRGHs! Best of all, it is free.
